Thanks to my very active course in college, I have the fortunate opportunity of being able to visit places and eat in places that I normally wouldn’t go to due to budget constraints. Lucky enough, we were scheduled for an Italianni’s seminar. From the name itself, it sounds quite fancy and in all truth, Italianni’s is a very fancy restaurant at great settings. Italianni’s, based on its name, is an Italian family restaurant with branches in some of the busiest parts of the Philippines, Greenbelt, Glorietta, Alabang Town Center, Greenhills, Eastwood, Araneta, Tomas Morato, Mall of Asia, Bonifacio High Street, Trinoma, Robinsons Place Manila, Nuvali Sta Rosa Laguna – the branch we were allocated to, was Italianni’s Eastwood, located in the heart of Eastwood, the city within a city. The seminar began at around 4pm if I remember correctly, with our speaker being the marketing manager of Italianni’s and their main cook, Chef Daniel Lachica showing off some of his simple but elegant, cooking skills. Lucky chosen students were able to help him make Caesar Salad, Bruschetta and Tartufu with rewards being the student would be able to eat what they make.
