One of the amazing restaurants I’ve ever had the pleasure of going to is the Bulawan Floating Restaurant in Pilillia, Rizal. I’ve heard of a floating restaurant before but I’d always pictured it as a boat or something similar. Instead, the Bulawan Floating Restaurant lies on the Laguna Lake, a 1.2 hectare fishpond surrounded by bridges, floating cabins and huts, a newly renovated swimming pool and Jacuzzi and the main kitchen area itself. My first visit there had been when I was in high school. I don’t really remember much anymore except that the place was a mess when we went since the storm Milenyo had just gone by. My next visit though, had been quite pleasant. Bulawan Floating Restaurant is a seafood restaurant owned by one of my mother’s friends from Papua New Guinea – which was how we were invited to the restaurant in the first place. The Floating Restaurant is quite a scene with Asian tourists because they like to fish (based on my observation, because the three times I’ve been there, the place was packed with Chinese and Koreans who were fishing). While the place is still under renovation at one side and could use more development, Bulawan Floating Restaurant proves to be of high potential. Why go?   The food – you have to love
