150th Lakbay Rizal – Antipolo and Calamba Sites

While Ivan and I had finished Manila in one day and unsuccessfully tried to have our stamps from Antipolo, our next destination had been to finish the Region IV sites – Calamba and Antipolo again. In one day, we used this itinerary: 8am Antipolo Church 10am Bus to Calamba 12pm ETA Calamba City, Lunch 130pm ETA Calamba Church 200pm Rizal Shrine 300pm Rizal Monument and Calamba Hall 400pm ETD Calamba   How to Start the Antipolo and Calamba 150th Lakbay Rizal Route:   Take the LRT 2 going to Santolan. From there ride a jeepney or FX going to Antipolo Church. (P23 – 25) Take a jeepney from Cubao going to Antipolo Church Take an FX from SM Megamall going to Antipolo Church   From Antipolo to Laguna   If you have a car, you can take the Tanay route (which I haven’t memorized so I’m not sure which is nearer, however, the road going to Laguna is very scenic, passing by rice fields, mountains, the lake and overlooking sites) By car, the SLEX route can also be taken, and exit via Calamba. Located in Taktak Road, a very steep and creepy, might I mention, road that had resorts lined up along the way, at the end of a fork at the road, Villa Cristina Resort consists of a hotel and a very large area for a resort.     With 4 big pools and a newly built kiddie pool with cute small slides and swings, the resort was already at the top spot for the best.   The resort hosts a hotel – with standard and executive rooms, a KTV room, Café Cristina – a bar and restaurant, multi-purpose court, affordable accommodations and commendable shower areas that could
