My first day was very memorable for me. I’d never traveled alone and I was completely new to group travels with people I didn’t know and traveling domestic. Seriously. I’ve never traveled anywhere domestic but Baguio with family. So getting to the airport at 6am and flying Philippine Airlines alone was one of the most liberating experiences I’ve ever had as a junior traveler. I left NAIA Terminal 2 at around 8am, aboard Philippine Airlines and arrived at approximately 9am at the Puerto Princesa City Airport. The day was torching hot and I could already feel summer in the early February breeze. I’ve never been to a domestic airport before and being in a smaller airport like the one in Puerto Princesa was also very new to me. Unlike the international airports, the PPS Airport was small and less busy. There were many people, mostly tourists as well, but it wasn’t as crowded as the usual scene at the NAIA.
