If there’s one dessert stop in Cebu you cannot miss, its La Marea Pastry Shop in Cebu City. If you want to experience the most delicious desserts in your life, then you definitely have to drop by the Walk for a taste.

Thanks to my interview with Edcel Suyo of Soloflighted, I was able to experience the delicious Warm Brownie Cup.

I’ve read about the Warm Brownie Cup from many blogs and throughout my Bohol-Cebu trip, I thought I might not be able to get a taste of it because the family’s itinerary had been packed. Thank God for my extra day, right?

So, when we settled outside the cozy, little dessert shop at the Walk, I almost forgot we were at one of the places I had been dying to go to!

Courtesy of Doi Domasian and Edcel, of course, they gave me my first taste of the heavenly Warm Brownie Cup.

At first look, you won’t really find anything special. Warm Brownie Cup just looks like a small chocolate cake, inside a cup, topped with vanilla ice cream, decorated with chocolate syrup.

But when you get a taste of it, boy, that’s a different story.

Taking a bite out of the Warm Brownie Cup is like plunging your teeth into a soft marshmallow, only this time, it was tastier. At the center, the brownie is slightly melted from the heat, while the round sides of the brownie is a little crunchier. Once your tongue has touched into the soft, warm center of the brownie, you’ll taste the sweet chocolate. But when you chew the brownie, you’ll find the sweet taste of chocolate erupting in your mouth like melted Milo.

The vanilla ice cream is like the mixer in the Warm Brownie Cup. Because of its subtle flavor, it helps to tone down the sweetness of the chocolate into a deliciously non-diabetic taste that you will truly enjoy – well, I did anyway.

I was so delighted by the taste of the Warm Brownie Cup that I finished my cup and the cup Doi and Edcel shared.
